For over 30 years, Michael Mednick (inventor of the BootieLeash) has heard from surfers, stand up paddlers, kayakers, kite boarders, wind surfers, wake boarders and jet ski and wave runner enthusiasts that they were often hassling with the aggravation of their wetsuit leg sliding and creeping up their wetsuit bootie heel, ankle and calf. Sometimes, during extreme ocean conditions, their skin was openly exposed to the cold water. During their water sport sessions, these sportsmen were frequently having to lean over and pull their wetsuit legs back down over the bootie ankle and calf. This can be disruptive to a great session. This is particularly true for the non-leash leg for surfers. Kite boarders have stated that they often have water being “blown up” their wetsuit legs at the ankles when moving rapidly. Sometimes cold water can come into contact with kite boarder’s bare skin if the wetsuit leg rises up the bootie calf too high. Surfers have expressed that they sometimes have water being “blown up” their wetsuit legs during wipeouts. To address this wetsuit leg creep condition, Michael invented the world’s first wetsuit leg to wetsuit bootie securing device which will keep your wetsuit leg locked down and in place over your bootie heel and calf and stopping water from being blown up your wetsuit leg.
